Witnesses reported that panicked crowds flooded the streets, leading to traffic jams in parts of Beirut as people rushed to reach areas they believed were safer.
In a statement on X, the Israeli military spokesperson warned residents of Lebanon that the IDF would start targeting infrastructure linked to the Hezbollah Al Qard Al Hassan Association and advised people to evacuate those areas immediately.
There was no immediate statement from the organisation, Hezbollah or the Lebanese government.
