The mega auction for the next season of the IPL will be held on 25th and 26th November in Jeddah. Every franchise is. The franchises are planning to buy players according to their own calculations. Delhi is also not behind in this and has strengthened its power for this.

Delhi has appointed former India fast bowler Munaf Patel as their bowling coach for the next season. The franchise announced this on Tuesday. 

Munaf Patel was a part of the Indian team that won the 2011 World Cup. Apart from this, he has also been with Rajasthan Royals, the team that won the first season of he IPL. He has played 70 ODI matches for India in which he has taken 86 wickets. Patel has taken 35 wickets in 13 Test matches for India.

Delhi has changed its coaching staff this time. Until now, Ricky Ponting from Australia used to be the team's coach, but this time the team has said goodbye to him. The team has appointed former India batsman Hemang Badani as their new head coach. 

At the same time, another former India batsman Venugopal Rao has been appointed as the Director of Cricket. Now by including Munaf in the team. the franchise has strengthened its coaching staff. 

Munaf has played IPL for Rajasthan from 2008 to 2010, Mumbai Indians from 2011 to 2013, and Gujarat Lions in 2017. 

Delhi has taken a tough decision this time by not retaining its star payer Rishabh Pant. Pant had been with Delhi since 2017 and had also been captaining the team has not retained him. 

Delhi has retained chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav, left - arm spinner Axar Patel, south Africa's Tristan Stubbs and Abhishek Porel.
