A proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza was presented at the UN Security Council on Wednesday but failed to pass as the US vetoed it. US Deputy Ambassador to the UN Report Wood, said that Washington has made it clear it will only support a proposal that includes the immediate release of hostages under the ceasefire.
