Weather maps across the country have turned orange, and alerts have been issued for travelers. According to WX Charts, a long-range forecast from November 30 to December 9 has been released, with snowfall expected on December 7. Areas like Newcastle, Cumbria, Northumberland, and part of Greater Manchester are also likely to experience snowfall.
The weather department, in its warning, said that while the weather will mostly remain dry and stable, there could be periods of unstable conditions. Low-pressure areas might pass over the UK, bringing some spells of wind and rain.
It also stated that the weather is expected to become more stable by mid-December.
Meanwhile, the Midlands, Wales, and Northern Ireland are expected to remain dry.
The weather department further said that temperatures will generally remain near average, but there is a chance of frost at night and cold conditions during the day, especially in foggy areas.
The Mirror reported that Plymouth and Southampton could see rainfall of up to 75-80 mm, while areas like London, Birmingham, and Cardiff may experience 35-40 mm of rain.
